As I wrote in a previous blog, I’ve gotten my Mother and Stepfather on Passion 4 Life. One of the most painful things for us right now is that my stepfather has started the beginning stages of dementia and the doctors think that he had a minor stroke this past year. This is a man that started his career as a machinist and had a mad passion for golf. After he retired, he pretty much played a round every day.
That’s changed and it seems like it happened over night. He’s easily confused. My mother is afraid to let him drive. He had a problem paying our bill at breakfast one morning because his problem solving skills have decreased. Saddest of all, he wasn’t able to play more than three holes of golf this summer. It’s been really rough on him, the whole family and especially my mother.
We started my stepfather on Passion 4 Life on August 7th. Marshall and I arrived in CT on August 13th. One of the things that my stepfather wanted to do was take Marshall and my brother, Tom, golfing at the country club. He said that he just wanted to do something with just the guys and golf is something that they all have in common. He maintained that he’d play a few holes, and ride the cart the rest of the time. When they were done, Marshall came back to the house and told me that my stepfather had played 14 holes!! That’s more than he’s played all year. We were ecstatic.
It got better after that. Last week my mother called and told me that something is happening with my stepfather. They’ve had a few days where the old Jim is back. He’s physically stronger, not losing his balance when he first stands up, no confusion, focused and lots of energy. I won’t lie to you and say that every day is like that. But, my mother’s view is that even a few days like that are a miracle…and those days are happening more and more often. The next time I see Charles, the creator of Passion 4 Life….he’s getting a really BIG hug from me.

Passion 4 Life – Passion 4 Habitat 4 Humanity
Remember how I keep repeating Zig Ziglar’s quote, “You can have everything in life that you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want. “
Today I got something that I wanted and I got it because of the number of hours that Marshall and I have volunteered at Habitat for Humanity. In essence, by helping someone else get what they wanted….a home of their own.
One these posters will hang in each of the four houses. It’s signed by the volunteers, the folks at Habitat, the sponsors…and the man that made it happen Jimmie Johnson!
Today, we met two time Nextel Cup Champion Jimmie Johnson and his wife Chandra. Jimmie is my favorite NASCAR driver and Habitat is my favorite charity. It was an amazing experience for me. Jimmie was everything I’d hoped he’d be. He’s down to earth, relaxed and spent time with every volunteer present.
Jimmie spent the morning giving interviews, signing autographs, and touring the house with the new homeowners children. He even took the time to drive some nails.
This build was very special because the fact that Jimmie Johnson was behind the project meant that there were a lot of corporate sponsors. I met great people from Pella Windows, Stella Solar, Berg Electric and DLA Piper Legal Services. I also had great fun with a reporter from ESPN and met the executive producer of Speed Channel’s show NASCAR Angels.
Carol McDaniels and her family received her new house keys directly from Jimmie. The name of the street is Foundation Lane and the house number is 481. It’s cool that every house on the street will have a number that starts with “48″. This is Carol, her three children with Jimmie and Chandra.
If you’re NASCAR fan, I’m sure you’ve heard about the “Helmet of Hope”. This is a helmet that Jimmie will wear in the Fontana, CA race and it’s labeled with various charities. The helmet is being auctioned off on eBay to benefit every charity listed. San Diego Habitat for Humanity is one of those charities.

Passion 4 Life, Passion 4 Giving Back

Today Marshall and I helped someone else get what they want. We’re volunteering just about every Saturday for the next month at Habitat for Humanity. If you’re not familiar with Habitat, they build houses for low income families. Now, they don’t give those houses away. The people who receive the houses have to put in 250 hours of labor into their house, they have to have good credit, and they have to be able to pay a 0% mortgage. It’s not a hand out, it’s a hand up.
Marshall and I aren’t wealthy, so if we had donated money to Habitat, it wouldn’t be much. However, we have plenty of time and skills that we can donate. Marshall has been doing Habitat for ten years and I’ve been doing it for the last two years.
So, today we helped a single mother with four children get her dream of owning a home. And in true Zig Ziglar form, we got something in return, First, as silly as it sounds, I learned how to put together kitchen cabinets. (Every time I go, I learn a new skill.) Second: Because it was a hot day combined with physical activity, we brought Passion 4 Life to recharge with at lunch.Personally, I don’t like Gatorade type drinks. If I’ve depleted my body, the last thing I want to do is throw sugar at it. So, lots of water and a second shot of Passion 4 Life and we were good to go. The moment we pulled that bottle out everyone started asking about Passion 4 Life.
I love listing the benefits I’ve gotten from taking it: More Energy, Better Stamina, Better Mental Focus, Improved Moods, Less Chronic Pain, Better Sleep, Less Sugar and Carb Cravings, Less Coffee Consumption and Weight Loss.

Bad Back? Good fortune with Passion 4 Life!
About 6 years ago, my mother had surgery to fuse three vertabrae together. This was to help alleviate her chronic pain. Before the surgery she spent some days in bed, unable to function because the pain was so bad. She went through a year where they injected Cortisone directly into the damaged disc. She sold her horse. She stopped tending the beautiful gardens around her house. The back surgery was the last ditch option to ease her pain.
The surgery has helped improve her quality of life. We’d definitly call it a success. However, she still will have days where she has some pain. Usually due to weather or heavy activity.
Here’s the thing with my mom – she’s one the hardest people to sell something to. My grandmother used to joke that when my mother was 5 years old, she’d send my mother down to the candy shop with a nickel to buy penny candy. My mother wouldn’t be back for more than half an hour. Why? Becuase my mother had to carefully weigh merits of every candy before deciding which ones to buy.

Calling all experienced MLM Members – Have some Passion 4 Life!
Last night, Tuesday, July 22nd, we had a team meeting that included people further in our up-line than just our sponsor. It even included someone that is not in our leg. It was a fantastic meeting. G, who is the woman not in our leg, has 77 people underneath her, 11 of which she personally sponsored….all since June 6th.
She brought up a very good point: If you’ve done MLM or Network Marketing before and you were frustrated by how far into the down-line you were, this is a great opportunity. As of last night, there were still less than 700 people signed up as consultants. So, you’re in very early, it’s a good product, with a good compensation plan.

Updates, thoughts and meetings on Passion 4 Life
First an update..
We’ve been signed up on Passion 4 Life for exactly one month now. We have signed up four consultants under us. We have six people in our down-line. We’ve sold thirteen bottles of Passion 4 Life. And we have 500 shares of Passion 4 Life. So the math:4 X $50 bonus for signing up consultants = $200.00
10% of our weakest leg = $20
100% money match of our left leg = $0
100% money match of our right leg = $20
$16 commission on 13 bottles = 208.00
So, our total for our first month is $448.00. Not too shabby. Definitely worth that $100 that it took to sign up. Keep in mind that this is my first foray into a Network Marketing situation.
It has kind of taken on it‘s own momentum. Our friend KS signed up and within 24 hours he had three people under him. One was put there by my husband and I. The second was put there by our up-line, Marilyn. The third was someone he signed up.
So, will it make you a millionaire in one month? Nope. But, then again, neither will any of the other programs that make that promise. Does it have the potential to eventually pay your yearly salary? Yes. By simply signing up two people per month, you could do quite well for yourself.
Next, some objections/questions I get when talking about Passion 4 Life:
People tend to think their vitamin pills are working until they’ve actually tried Passion 4 Life. We frequently give people three of the 1-ounce sample bottles to try. Why three? Because most of the people who have tried Passion 4 Life feel a big difference on day three.

Passion 4 Life is like good insurance!
Vitamins are like an insurance policy. You pay your premiums never knowing if you’ll get your moneys worth. Did you know that when you take vitamins and minerals in the traditional tablet or capsule form your body only absorbs 10 to 12% of the nutrients, and some studies show that number as low as 8%?

Passion 4 Life, Autism and business opportunities
We went to our meeting yesterday. One of the guest speakers was a woman that has three autistic children. She said that in all three of her children the onset of autism happened around age three. They lost all speach and became rigid with facial expressions that I can only describe as “lost”.
She went to one of the premier autism researchers, who specializes in “Nutrogenomics”, the study of nutrition based on your genetic makeup. What they discovered was that in all three of her children, their brains weren’t receiving nutrients from what they were eating. In essence, their brains were starving and had shut down functions to save itself.
